Green solutions for building rETROFIT

The project

The ENHANCE project, acronym for "integrated green technologies for seismic risk mitigation, energy efficiency and architectural redevelopment of existing buildings", is the result of collaboration between the research groups of the "La Sapienza" University of Rome and the “Niccolò Cusano” University. With a development period of 24 months and financed by the Lazio Region, the project aims to create an eco-sustainable system for the creation of exoskeletons. These will be used for the integrated seismic-energy and architectural redevelopment of existing buildings.

The Purposes

The ENHANCE project aims to meet society's growing needs in terms of functionality, safety, environmental sustainability and efficiency in engineering. It focuses on applying innovations in the field of seismic engineering to existing buildings, while simultaneously offering support for redevelopment both from a seismic and architectural point of view, using renewable materials and resources. The modularity of the solution promotes the reuse and recycling of elements, reducing energy consumption and optimizing the use of available resources.

Our Team

The ENHANCE project is the result of the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team of engineers made up of professors, researchers and doctoral students from different universities. Our goal is to develop technical solutions to improve sustainability in industrial processes and minimize environmental impacts.
